Mother and son critically injured in traffic collision
Collision between two vehicles in St Julian's leaves four injured, two in danger of losing their life.
A 53-year-old mother and her 18-year-old son are in danger of losing their life after suffering critical injuries in a collision between two vehicles in St Julian's late yesterday.
The incident occurred at around 8:45pm in Triq Sant’ Andrija, St Julian’s when a Fiat Punto driven by a 41-year-old man from Zabbar crashed into a Mazda 121 driven by a 53-year-old man from Pembroke.
Two passengers in the Fiat, a 52-year-old woman and her 18-year-old son, both from Pembroke, were critically injured.
All persons were taken to hospital in a number of ambulances, while members of the Civil Protection Department were also called on site to pull out the woman from the car.
The 53-year-old driver was certified as suffering from grievous injuries, while the driver of the Fiat Punto suffered slight injuries.
An inquiry is underway while police investigations are ongoing.
