EU High Representative Federica Mogherini is in Malta to meet Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and foreign minister George Vella
The EU's High Representative for external affairs and security, and Commission vice-president Federica Mogherini is in Malta, following a tour of Cyprus and Tunisia in a series of meetings intended at bolstering Europe's interest in Mediterranean regional security.
Mogherini was greeted by home affairs minister Carmelo Abela, who will discuss with Mogherini the present situation in Europe on crucial issues such as secutity, terrorism, immigration, and the Maltese presidency of the European Council in 2017.
