Comino gets free Wi-Fi

A free Wi-Fi hotspot has been installed in Comino’s Santa Marija Bay and will soon also be extended to the Blue Lagoon.

During a visit to the tiny island, Gozo minister Justyne Caruana said that the scheme will boost connectivity between Malta, Gozo, and now Comino.

“Technology is important in today’s world, where everyone wants to keep updated on news sites and social networks,” she said. “This step will ensure that Comino will be digitally connected in a more active manner.”

The government’s target is for the entire country to be fully accessible to Wi-FI by the end of the year, in what would make Malta the first Wi-Fi state in the world.
