Investigation into Ta' Xbiex car fire

An investigation is underway after a car burst into flames at around 3am on Monday while it was parked in Triq Giuseppe Cali, Ta' Xbiex.

Police have confirmed that a magisterial inquiry is underway after they were called on site in Ta' Xbiex where the Nissan Juke was parked. Fire fighters put out the flames.

Magistrate Aaron Bugeja is leading the inquiry while the police are investigating.

It is unclear whether this was an arson but residents in the area have told MaltaToday this was the second such incident in as many weeks in the area.
