The University of Malta has announced an upcoming TEDx event, which will explore personal growth, resilience, and identity.

"Inspired by the philosophical concept of Chryssipus’ cylinder, which explores the interplay between external forces and personal agency, this event will challenge audiences to reflect on how we navigate life’s complexities and transform along the way,” they said in their statement.

The event, titled 'from Matter to Mind' is set to take place on the 28 March at 7:30pm at the DMME Labs.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that brings people together to share a TED-like experience that stems from the popular TED conferences that take place across the world.

At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organised events are branded TEDx, where ‘x’ refers to an independently organised TED event.

The lineup of speakers includes writer Lorinda Mamo, former president of the Malta Chamber Marisa Xuereb, professor Simon Attard Montalto, journalist Mark Laurence Zammit, and activist Maria Pisani, who will each explore different topics from business to creativity.

Joining the event is award-winning photojournalist René Rossignaud who will share his experiences covering conflict zones.

TEDxUniversityofMalta is open to the public, inviting all those interested in transformative ideas to engage with a community of curious thinkers and changemakers.

Tickets are available on the KSU website, and updates can be found by following TEDxUniversityofMalta and KSU on Instagram.
