Fr Rob Galea delights Missio Malta audiences at ‘Praise You’ concert at University of Malta
A concert organised by Missio Malta with the extraordinary participation of the popular singing priest Fr Rob Galea, was a success as the Sir Temi Zammit Hall at the University of Malta was packed for two evenings of ‘Praise You’ on 4th and 6th October.
Fr Rob Galea, along with his band, performed songs like Coming Back, Mulej f’Idejk, and Something About You.
Galea said it was “truly a blessing from God” that these concerts provided a moment of prayer as well as entertainment for all those who attended.
“I feel grateful that through these two concerts, we experienced beautiful moments together while taking a break from the routine of life. It was a wonderful occasion to not only enjoy beautiful music and hear stories of spiritual experiences but also allow God to work in us and in our lives.”
Galea, a Catholic priest, was raised in Malta but has been serving in the Diocese of Sandhurst in Victoria, Australia, for the past several years.
Missio Malta communication and fundraising director Robert Farrugia, expressed his satisfaction with the success of ‘Praise You’ was the first of its kind organised by Missio Malta. “Through this concert, Missio Malta continues to introduce innovative and fresh ways to spread the Gospel message to a wide range of people. Missio’s work is not limited to missions in distant countries but is also active in Malta.”
“We were honoured to have Fr Rob Galea for these two concerts. Not only is he an internationally renowned artist, but he is also a modern Christian role model. Through his strong evangelisation, Fr Rob spreads the positive message of the Gospel and Missio to young audiences, and those young at heart,” Farrugia said.
Galea, who has released eight albums in his name, is the founder of ICON Ministry, which aims to build a global community that spreads message of Jesus Christ.
