APS Bank launches its second photography competition
Following last year’s success, APS Bank in collaboration with the Malta Photographic Society is organising its second photography competition. ‘Green’ is the theme chosen for this year’s event.
All entries to this competition are required to include a Maltese touch and participants are challenged to capture this broad subject from their own unique perspective; whether the colour in itself or any of the various connotations that the word has.
Winning submissions will be determined mainly on basis of the author’s creativity and the work’s composition.
The closing date for the competition 6 August, when all entries will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges, co-ordinated by the Malta Photographic Society. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three ranking photographers with consolation prizes distributed to the next 37 placings.
The results will be published by the end of September and shortlisted entries will then form part of a photo exhibition which is being planned for the beginning of next year. The selected entries may also be featured in the Bank’s annual calendar, promotional material or other publications.
More information about this competition may be obtained from all the Bank’s branches or online through www.apsbank.com.mt. Interested parties may also enquire at the Malta Photographic Society’s premises which are located at 137, Old Bakery Street, Valletta or website www.maltaphotographicsociety.org.
