The entire collection held at the National Museum of Fine Arts is now available for viewing online after being digitised through 3D scanning, according to Heritage Malta.
The National Museum of Fine Arts was recently closed in order to be re-located at the Auberge d’Italie in 2018.
In collaboration with Dhalia Real Estate, the technology provides an immersive and fully responsive tour of the former museum, including its fine architecture and ceiling frescoes.
The collection at the museum includes artists such as Mattia Preti, JMW Turner and Antonio Sciortino.
Through the digitisation, it is now accessible from any location.
