Malta ranks second highest in number of ‘50 Shades of Grey’ erotic novels purchases off online book shopping site BookDepository.
Weekly newspaper Illum reports that the Maltese have ranked second-highest when it comes to the number of copies of the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy purchased off the popular online book shopping website BookDepository.com.
The erotic trilogy, dubbed 'mommy-porn' by critics and penned by Twilight fan E.L. James, has achieved world-wide popularity, as well as notoriety, for its sexual romps and mild debauchery.
In its book-buying trends recap for 2012, the online shopping site BookDepository unveiled which countries bought the greatest number of books of the titilating trilogy.
While Ireland ranked first, Malta came a close second, followed by Australia.
