Gozo ministry permanent secretary is new heritage chief executive

The permanent secretary in the Ministry for Gozo, Joseph G. Scerri, has been appointed the chief executive of Heritage Malta.

Scerri entered the civil service in 1986 and then graduated in psychology and sociology, taking up the teaching profession.

In 1998, he was appointed head of secretariat in the home affairs ministry. Between 2003 and 2008, Scerri was head of secretariat for the deputy prime minister, and then head of secretariat for the justice and home affairs ministry and later the foreign ministry.

In June 2009 he was appointed permanent secretary for the Gozo ministry.
