Areola Treat album launch
Alternative rock band Areola Treat will be launching their debut full-length album Pleasure Machines at The Black Pearl, Ta’ Xbiex, with support by The Clandestines. Entrance with album is at €11, €7 for entrance only. Doors open at 21:30.

International Spring Orchestra Festival
Fifth edition of the music festival, taking place over various venues. Opening on Tuesday, April 26 at Piazza Tigne from 18:00 with a performance of Haydn’s 70th Symphony by the Rotterdam Ensemble, followed by a concert on Thursday, April 28, 20:00 at the St Antnin Waste Plant in Marsaskala. The following day, on April 29, two concerts are taking place at the Manoel Theatre at 13:00 and 13:45 aimed for children. The Marathon will start at 10:00 and will include 10 one-hour solo and chamber concerts. Together with the youngsters, 10 established local musicians will also be performing, one at every hour.
The marathon will culminate with an orchestral concert taking place at 20:00 at the Manoel Theatre, finishing the 12-hour long event. Tickets are free of charge but need to be reserved from the Manoel Theatre’s booking office by calling 21 246389. A non-nominative contribution will be asked at the door.

Loathe & BNI – Voice of a Generation Grand Opening
The metal and punk bands will be performing at the opening of a new rock club at Ball Street, Paceville. Doors open at 21:00. Free entrance.

Frankenstein
Exciting new production of Mary Shelley’s gothic horror classic, directed by Trainspotting’s Danny Boyle and beamed from the National Theatre in London to St James Cavalier cinema. The main actors will alternate between the characters of Victor Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s creature on different nights. The version featuring Jonny Lee Miller as Frankenstein and Benedict Cumberbatch as the Creature will be screened tonight and March 27 at 19:00, and April 2 at 20:00. The alternate version will be screened on March 24 at 20:00, April 8 and 29 at 20:00 and April 17 at 19:15.
