Local heritage celebrated this Sunday at Mgarr

For the 29th consecutive year, Mgarr Square will host Lejla Mgarrija on Sunday, August 8 from 19:30 onwards. The night will include a variety of activities, including competitions for best fruit, fresh flower arrangements, local wines and Mgarr photography, amongst others. Large fishing and agricultural displays of tools and machinery – both traditional and modern – including vintage cars, will also be there for all to enjoy.

Folkloristic and modern song and dance will also be a feature of the event, with Glenn Vella as guest singer.

A variety of fruits, vegetables, Maltese food and house plants will also be on sale.
