Notte Bianca | Patches
The fast-growing artisan market will be making its way to Notte Bianca today.
Patches, the brainchild of Denise Scicluna and Jimmy Grima, is an artisan market whose aim is not limited to just setting up a stall and selling handmade crafts. The duo aim to use the initiative to give a boost to the contemporary art scene which, they believe, is not currently being given the attention it needs and deserves.
Patches brings together talented artists, designers, stylists, and craftspeople all at one destination. It is a unique event to connect the makers of beautiful things to people who appreciate the quality, handcrafted and locally designed.
Its third edition will be taking place today as part of Notte Bianca, converting its standard set up (previously held at the Upper Barrakka Gardens) to a street market at St Christopher’s Street, from 14:00 till late hours.
Participating artists and designers are Jessica Psaila, Sue Mifsud, Nancye Church, Julie Apap, Rachel Robinson, Talia Maggi, Jo Pike, Sarah Camilleri, Kevin Morris, Mina and the Cupcakes, Rachel and Valerie Agius, Claudine Ancilleri, Elizia Vassallo, Frolic Studio, Becky C, Jackie Roberts, Matthew Pandolfino, Patrizia Caruana, Yasmin Modi, Louis Cauchi Savona, Janet Vella, Martine and Gaby Naudi, Sarah Micallef, Antonella Grima and Clemens Hasengschwandtner.
