Rearing up for Notte Bianca

In a couple of hours, Valletta will become a stuffed-to-the-brim hive of cultural activity, fun and food, as the annual event Notte Bianca sweeps across the capital city.

This year’s programme is as varied as ever, and those who brave the crowds are bound to find something to enjoy amidst the array of art, theatre, music initiatives (amongst others) that will be braving the city tonight.

Valletta’s museums, private and public art galleries and other cultural institutions will be open free of charge too – so you can dive in from all the madness to enjoy the city’s hidden treasures.

For those ready to embrace the torrent, however, this year’s events come peppered with an edgier seasoning, as heavy metal bands will be present alongside more mainstream fare, and the street theatre will have a markedly naughtier feel, with Burlesque performers scattered around Strait Street.

As ever, it is recommended that visitors make their way to Valletta at least a couple of hours before the sun comes down, and that they do so by public transport, which will be running all throughout the night and early morning.
