Oasis singer Liam Gallagher to sue his own brother

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher is suing his estranged brother and former band mate for saying his [Liam’s] hangover forced them to cancel a concert.

The feud between the two brothers has been hitting newsstands since Oasis rose to fame in 1994 with their debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’. But in 2009, Noel Gallagher left the band in saying he couldn’t work another day with his brother, Liam.

Now, last month Noel said Oasis had to cancel the 2009 V Festival due to hangover. But Liam retorted back saying that he had been sick with laryngitis. In a statement, Liam said he wanted an apology from his brother for Oasis fans.

Noel had also said that the demise of Oasis followed a massive row in which Liam had demanded to advertise his clothing range Pretty Green in the Oasis tour program.

Bu Liam said: “The truth is there was no such discussion or row between us. There are many reasons why Oasis split. But it had nothing to do with my clothing range.”

“This is not about the money … all I want is a full apology from Noel.”

Whilst Noel’s representatives have not commented yet, Liam’s spokesman confirmed a writ at the High Court in London has been issued against Noel.
