Miss Angola crowned Miss Universe 2011

Leila Lopes, the 25-year-old Miss Angola, was crowned Miss Universe 2011 at the ceremony in Sao Paulo, Brazil, beating 88 other young women.

The contestants had spent three weeks in Sao Paulo for the 60^th anniversary of the beauty contest. According to abcnews, the beauty contest had an anticipated worldwide audience of one billion.

"Thank God I'm very satisfied with the way God created me and I wouldn't change a thing," Lopes had answered to an interview question, asking what would she change of her physical characteristics. "I consider myself a woman endowed with inner beauty. I have acquired many wonderful principles from my family and I intend to follow these for the rest of my life."
