The third season of MTV’s ‘makeover-dating-reality’ show will feature an episode filmed on-location in Malta.
UK production house Gogglebox Entertainment are currently producing the new series of Plain Jane, a 'makeover-travel-dating reality' programme commissioned for MTV with more than 22 million international viewers, airing across over than 80 countries around the globe.
The third season of Plain Jane will premiere across MTV's international channels in Fall 2012 and will see episodes shot in a number of locations, including major international cities such as London, New York, Paris, Rome and recently Malta - made possible with the assistance of the Malta Film Commission.
The new season will consist of 12 60-minute episodes, focusing on a lucky girl who gets a complete makeover with the help from her fairy godmother - top model and fashion journalist Louise Roe.
In every episode, the chosen Plain Jane will embark on a series of challenging experiences to boost her confidence and receive a fashion makeover and new wardrobe helped by Roe.
Once the makeover is complete, and at the end of each episode, the formerly 'plain Jane', will unveil her new look and reveal her feelings to her unsuspecting crush... and potential boyfriend.
The Malta episode, shot on location, involved the support of a number of entities including Grand Hotel Excelsior, Air Malta, Village Gossip Hair Salon in Mosta, Sun & Fun Water Sports in St Julian's (for the 'confidence' challenge - parasailing), Bezzina Yacht Yard Malta for motor M.Y. Pepito (the setting of the blind date) and Palazzo Parisio.
TV presenter and fashion journalist, Louise Roe, fronts both the US and UK versions of the makeover show, Plain Jane, (CW network and MTV).
