Lindsay Lohan released from jail after 2 weeks
Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been released from prison after serving just fourteen days from her 90-day sentence, and ushered off to a rehab facility straight after.
The star served two weeks at the Lynwood Correctional Facility in California, and was escorted out of jail at around 1.35am, after which she had to be taken to rehab within 24 hours.
Lohan was sentenced to 90-days imprisonment for violating her probation for drink-driving offences, and had been ordered to attend alcohol education classes after being caught with cocaine possession and two drink-driving offences in 2007.
The 24-year old had pleaded for forgiveness in court after failing to attend the ordered classes, but California Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel dismissed her apology.
The brief spell in jail is the star’s second prison experience, the first being just 84 minutes behind bars for drink-driving offences.
