In the deepest throes of winter (the view outside the window looks something like the Apocalypse – ice falling from the angry looking sky) there is no better time than to book a holiday! Marc Casolani has been on the road again, this time travelling to Bali’s sister island Lombok, almost pushing me over the edge to book those flights! See if you can resist.

If you can’t get away, February is a great month for buckling down and catching up on movies and trying to put a dent in that reading list. Teodor Reljic keeps us up to date with movies nominated for Oscars and books worth reading during this cold and dreary month.

To make the short cold month a little more pleasant, get in the kitchen and get baking at the weekend (having the oven on for a while also adds some welcome warmth to your kitchen as well as the incredible smells of baking!)
