MTA thanks partners after successful Isle of MTV festival
CEO Paul Bugeja thanked security, emergency services and others for their work before, during and after the event
The Malta Tourism Authority has thanked partners who made the ninth edition of the Isle of MTV music festival a resounding success.
The authority thanked the Malta Police Force, the Armed Forces of Malta and the security teams contracted for the show for ensuring that security was given its due consideration during the event.
The MTA also thanked paramedics that were on call throughout the concert, who acted swiftly whenever they were required, and to the cleansing teams that worked throughout the night and made sure that the Floriana Granaries as well as all the surrounding areas were spotless in less than six hours from the final performance.
MTA CEO Paul Bugeja commented by saying that “we are all extremely pleased with how the ninth edition of the Isle of MTV concert went and we are already looking forward to next year’s 10th edition taking place on 28 June 2016. With Viacom and G7 as our collaborators we are convinced that we will work towards producing another fantastic show”.
Bugeja pointed out that this year numerous measures were taken so as to keep the area cleaner in all aspects, such as an increased number of portable toilets. He continued by thanking the Floriana residents together with the local council for their cooperation. He also thanked Malta Public Transport for providing increased bus services on the day.
Bugeja concluded by thanking all the staff and personnel that worked round the clock to ensure that everything was in place for the event and that the concert was a success.
