[WATCH] Zucchero thrills fans at MFCC concert
The last time the Italian rock star played in Malta was 2013, when he joined Joseph Calleja on stage at the Floriana granaries
Thousands of fans braved the heatwave last night, packing into the MFCC grounds in Ta’ Qali as Italian rock star Zucchero brought his Black Cat world tour to Malta.
The 61-year old last played in Malta in 2013, when he performed a concert with Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja at the Floriana granaries.
Zucchero, one of Italy’s biggest exports, performed a set which included some of his classic hits, as well as songs from his 13th album Black Cat.
Released in April 2016, the album represents the Italian’s return to his blues roots and is considered to be one of his darkest and roughest albums to date. It has sold over 100,000 copies in Italy alone.
