The end of August holiday brings with them a lethargy that is hard to beat. The summer heat is still well and truly part of our daily routine adding to a lack of motivation for just about anything.
While it’s so hot, going outside to take photos seems like a chore, but if your heart is in it, then why not take your camera underwater. The rules of the game are very different once you head below the surface where air and gravity are limited and buttons more difficult to find. A few tips and tricks and a little bit of practice will make sure you have a great time getting some superb shots without suffering from that end of summer heat.
In this issue we meet Didi Mizzi, a young fashion designer cooking up a storm on the catwalk. Her designs are inspired by the different countries and cultures that she visits and is an expression of art that have captivated the hearts of Maltese fashionistas.
The heat may be getting the rest of us down, but Mandy Farrugia is enjoying the cooler air of glacial Iceland. The peace and tranquillity she describes in her latest review of Vatnajökull, has us wishing for cooler times, or maybe even a trip to the tranquillity of the glacial kingdoms of Iceland.
