Elizabeth Taylor treated for heart failure
78-year-old Elizabeth Taylor has been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital suffering from congestive heart failure.
The Hollywood film legend is being kept at the hospital for more monitoring. No more information has been released.
Taylor’s publicist, Sally Morrison, explained Taylor was hospitalised earlier this week when she was taken to a medical centre suffering from symptoms caused by congestive heart failure.
This is an ongoing condition for the actress. But in the recent years her health has deteriorated.
In 1997, she underwent surgery to have a brain tumour removed and in 2006 she appeared on US television to deny rumors she had Alzheimer's disease.
She was hospitalised in Los Angeles in July 2008 and in 2009 underwent heart surgery to repair a "leaky valve," tweeting afterwards: "It's like having a brand new ticker... Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I know they all helped. Love you, Elizabeth."
