Italian thriller series shot in Malta
Premiering on 22 February on Canale 5, the Italian thriller series Sei Passi Nel Giallo was shot entirely on location on the Maltese Islands.
Shot entirely on location on the Maltese Islands, Sei Passi Nel Giallo is an Italian thriller series, made up of six films for television. The series, to start with 'Presagi' on Canale 5 next Wednesday at 9:15pm, will be followed by the other films in the series over the next five consecutive weeks.
According to www.filmmalta.com, the films were shot in English for the American market, but will be dubbed in Italian.
With assistance provided by the Malta Tourism Authority between 2010 and 2001, producers Leader Films in collaboration with Mediaset and Dolphin Entertainment, entered into a distribution agreement with Sony Pictures Studios to co-produce the series.
The script is also based on Malta, giving a vast exposure to the island. MTA said this factor was given utmost importance when considering assistance for similar projects.
The films feature not only exterior locations but also the interiors of a number of prestigious houses and buildings in Malta.
Actors include Kevin Sorbo, Andrea Osvart, Rob Estes, Clayton Norcross, Jane Alexander, Daniele Pecci, Paolo Seganti, Edward Mercieca, Paul Portelli, Ninette Micallef and Isabelle Warrington.
The series is directed by Lamberto Bava and Roy Bava.
