Malta’s majestic Silent City makes it to the front cover of Hollywood Reporter
The Malta Film Commission is making its presence felt at Cannes Film Festival, one of the most important festivals and film markets in the world.
Over the course of the festival, a delegation from the Film Commission will participate in over 40 meetings with producers exploring the possibility of filming in Malta. This is all part of the Film Commission’s ongoing initiatives to promote Malta and Gozo as a film location.
One of the most influential magazines in the industry, The Hollywood Reporter, features an impressive photo of Mdina on its front cover. Apart from Cannes, this year Malta already participated at major film markets in Berlin, Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
In Cannes, Film Commissioner Engelbert Grech will also be addressing a European conference focusing on the challenges faced by small nations. The Film Commission is making a case for more support to Maltese film makers from Creative Europe, the EU’s main film programme.
