A new film based on the 1976 hijacking of an Air France plane is set to be shot in Malta and the United Kingdom, according to theknowledgeonline.com
The movie is being produced by British powerhouse Working Title Films, set to recount the drama which took place when the aircraft was hijacked and forced to land at Entebbe Airport in Uganda.
Contacted by MaltaToday, Film Commissioner Engelbert Grech confirmed that discussions for the movie are well underway, but was not in a position to provide any further details.
He did say, however, that the Malta Film Commission will, as always, make an effort to have Maltese actors including in the movie.
“The Malta Film Commission always tries to push Maltese talent, and we will do it again with this production," Grech said when asked.
According to deadline.com, actors Daniel Bruhl, Vincent Cassel and Rosamund Pike are all in talks to join the Entebbe cast.
