[Watch] Gianluca and band sing for Prime Minister at Castille
Eurovision star Gianluca Bezzina welcomed by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat at Castille.
A somewhat shy Gianluca Bezzina and his fellow band members sang this year's Eurovision entry 'Tomorrow' at the Prime Minister's office this afternoon, as a captivated Joseph Muscat looked on.
While congratulating Bezzina and his band and telling them that they made the country proud, Muscat joked that he was dreaming of the band as his two young daughters were continuously listening to the song.
Despite the customary controversy surrounding the Eurovision, Muscat said that this year's contest showed that "if you have a good product, you earn a good result."
Malta placed eighth in this year's Eurovision song contest, which was won by Denmark. Earlier today, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrovsaid the country was launching an investigation into alleged vote theft at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Russian foreign minister will be meeting his counterpart from Azerbaijan, to investigate why it did not give any points to Russia.
The band presented Muscat with some promotional material and paraphernalia, including a fake car plate with the Prime Minister's name in big letters.
Home Affairs minister Manuel Mallia and Public Broadcasting Services CEO Anton Attard were among those present in Castille.
