Singing nuns make it to the Malta Eurovision semi-finals
The 20 semi-finalists for the Malta Eurovision Song contest have been announced. The semi-final will take place on Friday 21 November.
The 20 semi-finalists for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest have been announced. The list includes three former Malta Eurovision Song Contest winners, Gianluca Bezzina (Malmo, 2013), Glen Vella (Dusseldorf, 2011) and Ludwig Galea (Istanbul, 2004). The list also includes four Eurovision newcomers - Karen Debattista, Iona Dalli, Minik and Lyndsay Pace, as well as the six singing nuns forming the ensemble Ekklesia.
The full list of semi-finalists was announced during Friday’s edition of Xarabank. As in previous editions, every semi-finalists got to sing a few seconds of their song during the show.

The 20 semi-finalists will perform at the MESC stage on Friday 21 November. 14 of them will qualify to the grand-final on Saturday. The winner will represent Malta in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest next May in Vienna after Austria's Conchita Wurst won the previous contest with her song 'Rise Like a Phoenix'.
