Beangrowers hit Germany
Beangrowers have been invited to play two concerts in Germany on December 26 and 27.
They will be the very special guests of one of Germany’s most influential alternative artists: Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub. The concerts will take place at the Moritzbastei concert hall in Leipzig. Phillip Boa is also a well respected artist internationally and in fact he can boast of being the German artist with the most Album and Single of the Week awards ever in the British music press.
Beangrowers’ fourth (and latest) album Not In A Million Lovers was released in 2008, with the band signing an American record deal with Minty Fresh Records (The Cardigans, Veruca Salt, The Waterboys and Tahiti 80). The band’s music was, amongst others, used for the TV series Ghost Whisperer and Wildfire.
In Germany, the band once again successfully entered the DAC (alternative radio charts), reaching their highest position at number 5. The video for the title track Not In A Million Lovers was also selected for the Indie Music Video Festival (screened all over the USA and Canada).
During 2008 and 2009 the band toured in the USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Austria. The band is currently working on new material in both Malta and Paris (where vocalist Alison Galea is now based).
