EC receives two LTM Star nominations

EC English Language Centres have been shortlisted in 2 categories of the Language Travel Magazine Star Awards.

The awards are considered to be the equivalent of The Oscars in the language travel industry, recognising excellence and achievement in the sector; finalists are elected by consultants, staff and specialists employed in the business from all over the world.

Since 2007, EC have been finalists 7 times in different categories, winning LTM Star Innovation of the Year Award in 2009 for their EC Malta Freestyle Programme and once again in 2010 for their Club 30+ Programme.

This year, they have been nominated in 2 categories; LTM Star Award for “Junior Course for Under-18s” and the prestigious LTM Award for “Chain School-Over 5 Centres”.

Voting has now closed and the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Saturday 3rd September 2011, at The London Hilton on Park Lane. This event will be attended by several hundred personnel working in the industry, including stakeholders from around the globe.

EC is delighted to have been nominated as a finalist again, and EC Executive Chairman, Andrew Mangion said, “The LTM Star Awards acknowledge and honour innovation and endeavour within our sector. EC has a diverse range of courses that are continually adapted and developed, and over the past few years we’ve been nominated in a variety of categories, reflecting the quality of programmes that we offer across the board. It is thanks to the passion and hard work of every single EC team member, both locally and across our International network that we have been shortlisted again”.

This year, saw the opening of a new school in Bristol and a new building for their operation in Brighton. Later in the year, a new US school will open in Miami with the company set for further growth in coming months. EC currently operates 10 centres including locations the USA, UK and South Africa, as well as the original school here in Malta.
