Medavia focuses on bridging digital divide gap during Libya crisis
Aviation services company Medavia has embarked on an ambitious learning project that will see all levels of employees acquiring basic and intermediate ICT competencies.
Training will be delivered on site and will be held during normal working hours. The learning programme, developed by the company’s ICT department, will cover popular topics such as internet effectiveness, social media utlisation, basic PC maintenance and other subjects.
General manager Joe Formosa said the programme comes at a time when human resources had to deploy practices to stimulate people engagement and belonging. “It is crucial for the company’smanagement to ensure that established high levels of people motivation, performance, well-being and retention are mantained.
“As expected, the Libya crisis has of course instilled levels of uncertainty and job ambiguity company-wide yet with the right positive attitude, determination and other realistic cost cutting measurements, the company retained its entire workforce and continues to invest in training its people.”
