Smart Technologies opens office at Smartcity Malta

Smart Technologies CEO Joseph Aquilina said that SmartCity Malta’s variety of advanced and reliable ICT/Media facilities means that Smart Technologies’s presence “is a must.”

He added that the company’s physical presence in SCM is “a smart move,” for both Smart Technologies and SmartCity Malta.

“Putting together our expertise in IT services and SCM’s facilities and environment provided to its Business Partners, SmartCity is the place to be,” he said.

Smart Technologies announced that it has taken up a fully fitted ready office within the first completed block ‘SCM 01’, from where it will be offering its support services both to SCM and their Business Partenrs operating within the vicinity.

“We will also be leveraging this new presence to promote our services to all SCM Business  Partners who will be setting up their operations here at SCM,” said Smart Technologies Business Development Manager Christopher Demicoli.

“We understand that the smooth running of any company’s operations depends on a smooth IT system and when this fails, any company would want to fix its problems as soon as possible,” he added.

“Therefore, for companies who don’t administer their own internal IT systems and who depend on companies like us, it makes perfect sense to have their IT support company within a close proximity. This is why we chose to invest in a presence at SCM and we are more than eager to start working with new partners.”

Smart Technologies promotes amongst others computer leasing, the company said, a service that allows start-up companies to invest in building their IT platform / interface at a minimum cost, which “in return helps them to avoid a big plunge in their capital.”

Recently, the company said it has also announced its branching into a third major area of operations, namely the renting of IT equipment.
