320 dental professionals attend scientific congress in Malta
Congress hosted by oldest dental manufacturing company in the world.
“We are the oldest independent dental manufacturing company in the world and we have been a market leader for more than a century hence we chose to host our 125th anniversary international congress in one of the oldest civilisations, Malta,” Dentaurum group Chief Executive Officer Mark Stephen Pace said this in his opening speech during the opening of the company’s international congress being held in Malta.
Dentaurum Implants, the dental Implantology subsidiary of Dentaurum from Germany, is also holding its anniversary scientific congress in Malta. More than 320 participating dentists, delegates and guests from 19 countries are currently in Malta to attend this congress.

Joe Cassar, Minister for Health, the Elderly and Community Care welcomed those attending the conference and during his opening speech Minister Cassar referred to the significant success which the company managed to achieve through an effective combination of research and innovation.
Cassar said that the company’s ability to remain dynamic and being perceptive to change allowed Dentaurum to develop and introduce innovations along the years, which responded to the changing demands, and need across the world.
While mentioning the significant leaps achieved in local dental care, Hon. Cassar appealed that Dentaurum’s 125 year experience will translate itself into a learning opportunity for others, including the public sector, to appreciate further and understand that innovation and scientific development, as a result of consistent research is the key for success in today’s world of health care.
The conference lasts four days, during which prominent professionals in the fields will explain latest techonologies and methodologies to the dentists attending the various workshops organised. This includes a live dental surgery by leading Professor Hoffman and Maltese oral surgeon Dr James Galea.
