Gibraltar airport retailing powered by Shireburn software

Retail operations at Gibraltar Airport’s new terminal are to be powered by Shireburn Software’s Concessionaire Analyzer+.  Shireburn, one of Malta’s most successful software companies, have commenced the implementation of a complete retail platform, with both the point-of-sale operations of each of the 16 shops as well as a centralised data warehouse and business intelligence platform for the airport’s management.

The new terminal will be inaugurated later this year and using Concessionaire Analyzer+, the airport will be able to assess retail sales patterns by airline, flight, product category, day of the week, time of the day etc. providing it with an invaluable business intelligence tool for maximising retail profitability.  In addition to all concessionaires using the Shireburn POS, they will also be able to use the system’s web-based portal to assess their performance against all retail spend within the terminal.

“The Gibraltar airport project is another step in the internationalisation of our Concessionaire Analyzer product range aimed at airports and shopping malls. We shall also be speaking and exhibiting at the Airports Information Technology 2011 conference in London in December” said John de Giorgio, Shireburn’s CEO.

Shireburn Software is Malta’s leading software products developer covering the retail, accounting, inventory and payroll fields with a blue-chip client base both in Malta and internationally and the recipient of multiple product awards.
