GO extends Easyline cards’ time window
Go is providing customers with an extended time window on most of its Easyline cards.
In line with the upgrade, new or as-yet-unactivated cards will have their time-window increased: The €5 Easyline card which had a time window of 30 days now enjoys a time window of 150 days. Customers purchasing a €10 Easyline, which had a time window of 90 days, will now benefit from a time window of 180 days and the €20 Easyline card which had a time window of 180 days will be on the market with a time window of 300 days. The time window applicable to the €50 online Easyline card will remain unchanged.
The Easyline time-window changes will apply to cards which are activated to make the first call or used to top up after 01 January 2012. Cards activated before this date will not benefit from the extended time windows.
Meanwhile, as from 01 February 2012, Easyline cards will replace the use of Telecards definitively in all indoor and outdoor payphones operated by GO. Over the past few years, GO phased out the use of Telecards in its payphones. A few months ago, the cutoff date was notified to the public and notices were put into the payphone booths alerting users to the fact that Telecards will not be used after 1 February 2012 and that after that date Easyline cards could be used.
Speaking about the change, Javier A rriaga, Product Manager for Fixed Voice at GO, said: "We are in a position to offer our customers extended time-windows on Easyline cards. Thanks to Easyline, customers are in full control of the spending on their calls. Easyline gives users peace of mind, allowing them to set their own budget and to ensure that no one else makes calls at their expense."
Easyline is a fixed telephony prepaid service. Callers using Easyline cards can place their prepaid calls from GO fixed lines and GO payphones. Easyline cards can be purchased from resellers or online. Easyline customers do not pay rent or receive a bill and they can instal Easyline on a new line or use it on an existing one - keeping their existing number.
The service works on a normal push-button phone, so Easyline customers do not need to buy any special equipment. Charges for any calls are deducted from the prepaid Easyline card until the credit is used up and more credit is purchased. A residential Easyline connection must make a minimum of €88.52 worth of calls annually to continue to enjoy the Easyline service.
For further information on Easyline cards available at GO, customers can drop in at any one of GO's outlets or authorised resellers in Malta and Gozo or call anytime on Freephone 8007 2121 or 146 from the customer's GO mobile.
