Launch of Alert Group of Companies

Alert Group yesterday announced their acquisition of Enterprise Solutions Ltd, an IT consultancy and solutions provider specialising in business and commerce systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Document Management Systems (DMS), Business Intelligence Solutions (BI), Customer Relationship Management Solutions (CRM) and ePOS solutions.

Enterprise Solutions Ltd is currently the sole official SAP partner within Malta. The company’s key products include SAP Business One, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Crystal Reports, INVU document management and automation and RestaurantManager.

"Enterprise Solutions had established itself as a leading ERP and BI provider on the island,” Claudine Cassar, Managing Director at Alert Group said.

Alert was founded in 1998 by Cassar who set up a digital agency specialising in web design. Over the last 14 years, the company went from strength to strength, culminating in the formation of the Alert Group, a group of companies offering a range of complementary ICT and marketing services.

"As part of the Alert Group’s growth strategy, we have acquired a controlling stake in Enterprise Solutions Ltd, thus strengthening our existing technology offering to include the delivery of critical business solutions, including those based on SAP ERP and Business Objects,“ Cassar said.

Cassar added that the name Enterprise Solutions Ltd was changed to Alert Solutions, and the services will be complementary with those offered by the other two companies in the group – namely Alert eBusiness and Alert Creative.

Alert eBusiness is a leading player in the Maltese ICT sector and offers web development and eMarketing, as well as operating its own data centre and online payment gateway. 

Alert Creative is an innovative creative agency offering fully-integrated marketing consultancy and business development support.

“Hence the company was a perfect fit for us, which is why we decided to go ahead with the acquisition,” Cassar said.

Damian Heath, who remains part of the company as its Solutions Director, will continue to drive the same team of applications specialists who were instrumental in deploying a number of demanding BI and ERP installations for major clients such as Bank of Valletta and Vodafone (Malta).

"We're very excited to form part of the Alert Group and believe this partnership will help us better serve our clients. Becoming part of the Alert Group of Companies will enable us to grow and expand into exciting new areas such as solution hosting and mobile business applications," Heath said.

He added that Alert Group was determined to continue establishing its position as one of the new breed of creative solution providers and undisputed leaders in the provision of ICT services in Malta.

Cassar added that the Group has grown from a two-person team operating out of a living room to a group of three companies employing over fifty people and offering a range of complementary ICT solution and digital on-line marketing services.
