New president for Institute of Financial Services

Banif Bank head of retail banking elected president of IFS-Malta

Simon Grech FCIB (pictured) has been elected the new president of the Institute of Financial Services (Malta)

Grech brings with him several years of professional experience. He is currently Head of Retail Banking at Banif Bank Malta.

Grech started his banking career in 1985 when he joined Bank of Valletta and worked there until 2007, undertaking various roles including Senior Branch Manager and Corporate Relationship Manager.

Grech has been an elected ifs-Malta Committee member since 2000 where he has carried out various roles including that of secretary and director of education. Since 1998 he has been a tutor at ifs-Malta and other institutions on topics such as Lending, Banking Operations, Financial Advice and Wealth Management. In 2004, Grech was awarded Fellowship from ifs School of finance UK for his services.
