Caremalta CEO is new president of European elderly homes’ association
Natalie Briffa Farrugia elected president of the EAHSA.
Caremalta CEO Natalie Briffa Farrugia has been elected as president of the board of directors of the European Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (EAHSA).
Briffa Farrugia currently serves as CEO of Caremalta,a leading provider of care for older persons in Malta.
EAHSA represents more than 2,500 providers of housing, services and care in the ageing sector spread in 15 different countries, ranging from Norway to Malta and from Ireland to the Russian Federation.
Briffa Farrugia was appointed President during EAHSA's 4th European conference which was recently held in Malta.
Freek Lapré, outgoing president of EAHSA, described Briffa Farrugia as "his favourite choice" for her passion for this sector, a leading provider and commitment to the EAHSA.
Briffa Farrugia is following Freek Lapré, CEO of Movinex, from the Netherlands, who was president from 2010 onwards responsible for the successful start of EAHSA as a European association in Brussels under Belgian law. Before EAHSA was for many years the European chapter of IAHSA the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing in Washington.
