IT students visit Crimsonwing
IT students from Domain Group visit Crimsonwing Malta to explore possibilities for IT students beyond graduation.
A group of IT students from Domain Group visited the offices of Crimsonwing Malta recently, in their quest to understand more what possibilities exist for IT students beyond graduation, Crimsonwing Malta said in a statement.
Crimsonwing Malta Operations Director Pierre Zammit welcomed the students and gave them an overview of the Company's operations in Malta, UK and the Netherlands.
He explained that Crimsonwing is the largest IT Company in Malta, and already enjoys the best of local IT talent in Malta - with a headcount exceeding 160 engineers in Malta. Notwithstanding, the company is always on the lookout for the best personnel that have the required knowledge and personality, and that would have the possibility of receiving further highly specialised on- the-job training.
Patrick Tanti and Sarah Duncan, Deputy Head, and Lecturer at Domain Group respectively, accompanied the students.
They expressed their appreciation to the opportunity given to their students to become more informed and witness the possibilities that exist for themselves, whilst having the possibility of asking questions directly to a prospective employer.
Tyrone Grech, one of the students commented, "We are really satisfied that we had this possibility to catch a glimpse of what the IT working environment is like. Whilst we study about the various technologies and possibilities that exist in the IT world, it all remains in our imagination. Here we were given the opportunity to see things first-hand and thus understand the overall situation better. This way we can prepare ourselves better and be more successful in our careers".
"We welcome groups of IT students from a variety of different local and international academic institutions, to give them a taste of our working environment. We encourage them to specialise in their studies, to achieve the best they can within the line of work that interests them. With over 230 members of staff in our Crimsonwing offices in Malta, UK and the Netherlands, we have a thorough understanding of how to match the right applicant with the opportunities that we offer from time to time", concluded the Operations Director, Pierre Zammit.
