HSBC Europe CEO joins HSBC Malta Board
Brian Robertson is responsible for all the group’s operations in the United Kingdom and continental Europe.
HSBC bank's chief executive officer Brian Robertson, a group managing director of HSBC Holdings plc and a member of the Group Management Board, has been appointed to the board of directors of HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c. as an executive director.
As CEO of HSBC Bank plc, Robertson is responsible for all the group's operations in the United Kingdom and continental Europe, and is also chairman of HSBC Life (UK) and a director of HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited.
Robertson has been with the HSBC Group for 38 years and has extensive international experience, having worked in the Middle East, Hong Kong, USA, the United Kingdom and Canada.
He succeeds Peter William Boyles on the HSBC Malta board, who steps down from his position as executive director with effect from 5 March 2013 following his recent appointment as CEO of HSBC Group Global Private Banking.
