Three new airlines choose Air Malta for ground handling
Air Baltic, Monarch and Turkish added to growing list of over 15 international airlines that make use of Air Malta ground handling services.
Air Malta has recently been chosen as the preferred ground handling partner by Turkish Airlines, Air Baltic and Monarch Airlines at Malta International Airport. Starting this summer the airlines will operate over 140 flights to and from Malta.
Silvio Falzon, Chief Operations Officer, said the airline was thrilled that these international airlines had chosen Air Malta as their preferred ground handling partner. "The steady implementation of the restructuring process across the ground handling function is continuing and is facilitating the acquirement of new business opportunities."
Head of Ground Services John Vella was equally enthusiastic. "We have worked hard to secure such business considering the stiff competition in this market. We are proud to list Air Baltic, Monarch and Turkish to the growing list of over 15 international airlines that make use our ground handling services.
"Last July we announced an investment of over €3.5 million in new ground handling equipment and we have also invested heavily in re-training our staff. Such initiatives give us the competitive edge which prospective clients expect in providing a safe, reliable and cost effective service."
Air Malta also offers cargo services including warehousing, chiller facilities, pallet build-up, freight, courier and mail handling, cargo acceptance and release together with technical engineering support both to Air Malta and various other clients.
