Zammit Lewis visits software company during recruitment drive
Parliamentary secretary Edward Zammit Lewis visits Uniblue office, meets new CEO Christopher Bolin.
Parliamentary secretary for competitiveness Edward Zammit Lewis today visited Uniblue, an ICT company developing software. Today the company has diversified its products, developing various software systems delivered in 13 different languages.
The company has grown and now has its core set of products optimizing the performance of millions of PCs around the world.
Uniblue employs more than 100 employees, almost all of whom are Maltese. Addressing the press the new CEO Christopher Bolin announced that in 2013 Uniblue will be increasing its work force by 25 personnel.
The recruitment drive launched today is aimed at strengthening its team in the software development, sales and marketing and administration functions. Bolin added that this will enable the company based in Birkirkara to meet its ambitions plans for expansion of its product portfolio and market penetration.
Zammit Lewis congratulated Bolin and Uniblue's employees. He added that Uniblue's objective complements perfectly the government's policy in creating and supporting the climate for more quality jobs in the ICT industry.

He said government looked forward to collaborate with companies like Uniblue to ensure that Malta is regarded as a destination for ICT companies to flourish and create Economic Growth whilst creating more quality jobs in ICT.
