Melita to broadcast live summer waterpolo leagues

The company explained how this was the third consecutive year that Melita subscribers would be able to follow the best live waterpolo matches. This season, Melita was increasing the number of live match broadcasts from 6 to 8 of the best matches.

Waterpolo enthusiasts would be able to follow all the action live from the National Pool through 8 cameras above the water and a special underwater camera which was expected to reveal all the legitimate and illegitimate underwater action as waterpolo players battled it out in their path to the League victory.

Melita sports journalists Sandro Micallef and Vicky Licari would be providing live commentary and obtaining the behind-the-scenes previews through interviews with coaches and players before and after the matches.

As from August, Melita L and XL television subscribers would be able to watch the waterpolo league matches at no additional cost as part of their existing packages together with the football BOV Premier League, Malta football international games, Malta rugby, boxing and a new in-house production with daily sports news with Melita’s new sports content structure.

In addition, Melita XL customers would also have free access to international football from the Spanish Liga, the Bundesliga, the Carling Cup and the Brazilian League amongst many others on two dedicated channels.

XL subscribers would also get free access to a mixed sports channel, including events such as the WWE, NBA, TNA Wrestling and Red Bull events.
