Atlas launches new PV panels policy

"The new policy, which covers systems installed at private residences, is specifically designed to insure PV systems. We are offering competitive rates, with claims settlement on a ‘new for old basis'. This means that in the event of a claim, no deduction will be made for wear or tear or depreciation," says Personal Lines Manager Marisa Polidano.

The new policy covers loss or damage to private photovoltaic systems by a number of causes such as storm, lightning, wind, vandalism and theft as well as impact by collapsing cranes, falling trees and poles. Additional benefits also include debris removal cover up to 10% of the sum insured, as well as liability cover up to €500,000.
