ROCS Group awarded Superbrand status

As a result of its recognition for being one of the strongest and commercially significant brands in Malta, the ROCS Group has been awarded Superbrand status by the Superbrands Council.

Superbrands, the world's largest independent arbiter on branding, identifies and pays tribute to exceptional brands by recognising, rewarding and reinforcing leading brands from all over the world.

The Council which comprises of luminaries from the marketing and communication industries as well as notable figures from local and international blue chip companies and media organizations, runs the Superbrands award schemes and promotional programs, each with a brand-focused publication at its core. These programs aim to identify those brands that are performing above and beyond others within the market.

Yet, what does Superbrands truly convey for ROCS Group? Ms Rachel Vella, ROCS Group Director commented, "It is an honour for us to have the ROCS Group confirmed as one of Malta's leading companies. The ROCS Group is today one of Malta's most trusted household names, a leader in every division it operates. This recognition adds prestige to our company and gives our most esteemed clients another reason why they could not have been wrong in choosing the ROCS Group"

Set up in the early 70's by Charles Vella and his wife Rita for over forty years, the ROCS Group always held a high-profile presence on the Maltese market in all its divisions. The ROCS Group's core business divisions are travel, insurance, investments, media, property and retail. Today, ROCS Travel is recognised as Malta's leading leisure travel company, whilst ROCS Co. has been insurance and investments top performer for Middlesea Insurance (today a member of the Mapfre Group) and MSV Life respectively, for a number of years. World renowned cosmetics brand INGLOT, is today present in 400 worldwide locations. ROCS is responsible for the operations in Malta, Libya and Yemen and by the end of 2013 total retail stores across the three countries in projected to exceed 10 in number with a further 10 planned for 2014.

The Superbrands initiative to publish the 2nd Malta edition of its popular publication, which is now present in 86 countries, will provide ROCS with the opportunity to form part of the existing community of Superbrands, made up of 6,000 brands from all over the world.

Superbrand status strengthens a brand's position, adds prestige and sets the brand apart from its competitors, offering enormous business potential for organisations seeking the right commercial partner for both import and export ventures.

ROCS Group Director, Ms Rachel Vella is of the opinion that today the ROCS team is well equipped and motivated to hold this title for the coming years. "The energy and determination towards success drives ROCS Group to always reach higher goals and live the creed we all believe in - The task of each and every one working at the ROCS Group is to go from where we are today to where we have never been!" concluded Ms Rachel Vella.
