Banif team welcomes the Prime Minister
Prime Minister Joseph Muscat paid a courtesy call on Banif Bank (Malta) plc at the Bank’s Central Services in Gzira.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the relationship between Government and the Bank, where Banif reiterated its commitment to the financial services industry and to Malta's economy. The Bank is a key player in the field and has earned this through ambition, clear strategies, innovative products and the public's trust.
During the visit, staff had the chance to meet the Prime Minister and chat informally for some minutes, as he went round different departments to meet some of the teams behind the Bank's five years of successes. "We are very grateful that the Prime Minister took the time to meet some of the team members, acknowledging their individual work, that collectively drives the Bank forward and makes a contribution to the market," said Joaquim F. Silva Pinto, Chief Executive Officer.
The event was followed by a private meeting with the Board of Directors and Chief Officers of the Bank. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Finance Minister, Edward Scicluna and Parliamentary Secretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth, Edward Zammit Lewis.
