Radisson Blu Resort, St.Julian’s bars supervisor national winner at Malta preliminaries of Cocktail Competition

Theo Antonelli, Bars Supervisor at the Radisson Blu Resort, St.Julian’s is the national winner of the Preliminaries of the World Cocktail Competition (WCC), a competition held yearly in order to choose the Maltese Champion to represent Malta in the World Championships.

This year the Competition was held in June at The Grand Ballroom at the Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian's and organized together with local beverage importers and in collaboration with the Maltese Bartenders Guild.

This competition saw some of the best local bartenders including former Maltese Champions taking part.

Participants representing Malta were drawn into the Sparkling Category and also competed in the Non-Alcoholic Category .

Theo Antonelli placed first in the Sparkling Category while Mr. Joseph Xuereb placed first in the Non-Alcoholic Category.

Mr. Antonelli, together with Mr. Xuereb, will now go on to represent Malta at the IBA (International Bartenders Association) WCC to be held in Prague from the 16th till the 22nd August 2013.
