Corinthia Hotel Budapest collects coins for sick children
A few years ago, the five-star Corinthia Hotel Budapest partnered with the “Change for Children" initiative coordinated by the “Beyond The Moon" organization.
This international non-profit organization offered children suffering from a life-threatening disease, and their families, the opportunity to spend valuable quality time together and to enjoy a memorable, cost-free vacation, far away from hospitals and daily treatments.
These family vacations provided children with beautiful and joyful experiences that reach “beyond the moon." All funds donated to the association were entirely dedicated to achieve this objective.
Commenting on this initiative, hotel general manager Adrian Ellis said: “Thanks to the compassion of our employees and hotel guests, we have been able to fulfil the dream of a Hungarian child suffering from illness."
The Corinthia Hotel Budapest, also known affectionately by its historic name, the “Grand Hotel Royal," was a city landmark and a member of the newly-repositioned upper luxury Corinthia Hotels brand.
Its neo-classical façade, adorned with statues, columns, and cupolas, had graced Budapest's fashionable thoroughfare, Erzsébet Avenue, for well over a century.
It was reopened in 2002, having been faithfully restored to its former glory as Budapest’s leading luxury hotel, featuring a magnificent ballroom and the most extensive conference facilities in the city.
Since its re-opening, The Corinthia Hotel Budapest has received numerous awards and accolades for its architecture, cuisine, and world-class service.
The hotel is owned by Malta-based International Hotel Investments (IHI) and operated by CHI Hotels&Resorts, a joint venture between IHI and the Wyndham Hotel Group.
