Oil drillers launch scholarship fund in ocean governance
Med Oil & Gas and Genel Energy launch €13,500 scholarship
Oil drillers Mediterranean Oil & Gas plc and Genel Energy will award a scholarship to a qualified student to study for a Master of Arts in Ocean Governance, through their jointly owned Malta-based company Phoenicia Energy Company Ltd.
The MA degree is being offered by the University of Malta in collaboration with the International Ocean Institute and will be held at the Valletta Campus of the University in Malta as part of the University's International Masters Programmes.
The scholarship is being offered to cover the tuition fees for the course to the value of €13,500. Applications will be considered by a selection board appointed by the University of Malta together with an observer representative of PECL.
The Master's in Ocean Governance serves to enhance the development of learning and research in the field of marine resource management and maritime security from a multidisciplinary perspective.
