Eden Finance plc buys back €571,902 in shares

Eden Finance plc will be buying back €571,902 of its 6.7% bonds issued in 2000 and which mature later this year.

In its company announcement filed this morning at the Malta Stock Exchange by this morning by company secretary Simon de Cesare, Eden Finance announced that the Company had decided to buy back, “on the market, Eden Finance 2010 6.7% Bonds”.

The company explained that it had done this “in accordance with the terms of the prospectus dated 18th Sept 2000”

However, the company did not specify the amount of shares that it was buying back, stating merely that it would buy them back “at such price as the Company may determine to be in its best interests”.

However, in an exchange notice issued by MSE CEO-Designate Eileen Muscat later this morning, the actual amount of shares that had been bought back was actually revealed.

“The outstanding nominal balance of 6.7% Eden Finance plc Bonds 2010 has been reduced to €14,799,582 following the cancellation of €571,902 bonds due to a buy back of these bonds by the Company,” Muscat announced.
